Coorg
VIEW ON MAP- 2 Days
The land of the Kodavas is one that’s intriguingly different from the rest of Karnataka, and even most of the country. Their legends go all the way back to the invasion of Alexander in 326 BC, and it is believed their tradition of ancestor worship began then.
The imposing Western ghats carve up this small district into many hills and valleys, strewn with coffee plantations, wildlife sanctuaries, and thriving cultural traditions of dress, food, dance and worship.
This hilly land is also where the mighty Cauvery river originates, and its fertile soils remain lush, green and cool all year round.
